AB2 Consulting, Inc. is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer for one of our clients in Chicago. This person must be self-motivated, inquisitive, and detail-oriented with the ability to achieve deadlines while working effectively within a team environment.
Job Responsibilities:

• Produce test cases for detailed and high-level requirements.
• Execute automated/manual testing on web browsers and mobile devices.
• Accurately communicate testing status and escalate issues in a timely manner
• Perform post-migration smoke testing
• Accurately assess the impact of software defects
• Validate detailed requirements for testability
• Create and maintain automated test scripts for both web-based applications and mobile applications
• Accurately assess the impact of software defects
• Work successfully within an iterative/agile SDLC environment

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related. .
• Overall 7+ years of experience in designing and executing test cases with more than 5 years on web-based applications
• 5+ years of strong experience in writing automation test scripts in Java using Selenium WebDriver and Grid; able to demonstrate a deep understanding of Selenium, Java as well as the ability to produce modular, re-usable code with high quality
• 3+ years of strong experience in building automation frameworks for desktop and mobile web-based applications.
• Must be a strong Test Automation Engineer who can work independently, be capable of solving problems, and communicate effectively with automation Leads when further technical help is required.
• Strong experience in using tools like Jenkins, Maven, Test NG, JIRA, IDEs like Eclipse or Intellij Idea
• Well-versed with version control tools like Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.
• Experience in automating tests to run in parallel.
• Experience in analyzing results of automation test runs
• Experience with automating RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Experience with an API mocking tool like WireMock preferred.
• Hands-on with at least one database and SQL.
• Must have working experience in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Must have experience in building mobile automation frameworks using Appium.
• Experience with testing in the following domains is a plus: Web Commerce, ERP / SAP
• 4-year degree (or higher) in CS / IT or a related field
• Must be highly motivated and dependable with excellent communication skills
