DescriptionRobert Half Legal is seeking a Commercial Contracts Attorney to join a renowned corporation. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and J.D. required in addition to a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience either in a law firm or corporate legal department. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:-Oversees a wide range of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, international distribution agreements, license agreements, service and equipment agreements, marketing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other general business contracts.-Serves as a liaison for the Buying Department, including creating and reviewing related agreements; works strategically to provide guidance.-Evaluates and analyzes legal cases then reports findings to direct leader; researches unique legal issues impacting the organization by identifying applicable statutes, judicial decisions, and codes.-Performs pre-litigation work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights, at the instruction of direct leader.-Assist in analyzing current company procedures and in identifying best practices.-Interact with various internal and external parties involved in the legal process.-Assist with preparation and analysis of data to identify exposures and risks. Support strategies for reducing costs and transferring risk.-Perform all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, timely and within Aldi administrative policy and procedures.-Act and decide independently within the delegated area of responsibility.-Work in a manner that is consistent with the policies and procedures as outlined in the office employee handbook.-Provide proactive analysis of current projects and analytical review of reported results.-Communicate and inform leader of issues, status and results of assigned tasks in a timely fashion.-Maintain detail oriented skills through research, continuing education and training.-Serve as backup to other members of the team.-Exhibit attention to detail and the ability to develop improved procedures and processes.-Employ problem solving techniques.-Perform special projects as requested.-Maintain confidentiality of legal records and company information.For immediate consideration, please send a copy of your resume to Madeline.Morrison@roberthalflegal.comRequirementsRequirements for this position include but are not limited to:-Knowledge of commercial contracts including supply agreements, international distribution agreements, license agreements, service and equipment agreements, marketing agreements, spokesperson agreements, real estate leases, and non-disclosure agreements.-Knowledge of United States employment law and ability to assist in defending the company against employment-related industry charges.-Knowledge of and ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint).-Ability in analyzing and presenting complex data.-Knowledge of and ability to interpret and/or apply Aldi administrative policies and procedures.-Knowledge and understanding of a variety of contract documents, including: NDAs, master services agreements, statements of work, letters of intent, and contract amendments.-Skill in verbal and written communication.-Ability to give attention to detail; employ strong planning and organizational skills.-Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.-Ability to prioritize and multi-task.-Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with all business partners.-Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.-Ability to think critically, solve problems, plan and organize workflow, and embrace new challenges.-Ability to analyze a situation to make decisions and resolve complex issues; apply creative solutions which result in the best outcome for Aldi.-Skill in reviewing files to determine accuracy and completeness.For immediate consideration, please send a copy of your resume to Madeline.Morrison@roberthalflegal.comLocated in major North American and global markets, Robert Half Legal is the premier provider of legal staffing and consulting solutions on a full-time, project, and temporary basis, serving both law firms and corporate legal departments.
