The BSA will need to understand Illinois Mutual’s business use cases, in order to design technical designs software solutions. They will also help to optimize systems architecture, troubleshoot, and collaborate with other architects and software engineers across IT. The BSA will also need to understand the various systems servers, databases, software applications and more. The BSA will interpret and contextualize strategy for operational needs, develops specific artifacts such as business capability maps and value streams and help streamline and rationalize the IT enablement process. Responsible for the overall architecture and frame of business process analysis
Develop operational models, and system solutions, that enable a spectrum of highly consultative, and highly transactional, customer experiences
Analyze work activities/workflow, diagramming the interaction and flow of events
Translate business requirements into well-structured business operational models and technical requirements for IT development. Serve as the primary business liaison between Illinois Mutual business operations and Applications & Integration team to achieve effective and collaborative technical solutions
Map processes in a detailed, simple to understand, standard presentation format
Structure processes into a logical system utilizing a simple index framework
Document and present analysis and modeling results
Participate in Business Process Modeling sessions
Create Business Capability Map in terms of strategy, process, people and technology
Conduct interviews and perform analysis in order to create Business Cases for projects
Conduct preliminary investigation for all project requests
Review requirements, specifications, test, support and training plans to ensure they are in line with business objectives on projects
Create detailed user documentation and procedures
May assist in the training of business users
Communicate effectively with teams, both technically and from a business perspective
Accountable for a specific line of business, business pillar or multiple segments, and high level of complexity and attributes
Think innovatively to develop new solutions
Provide leadership guidance, make recommendations, and collaborate with business to ensure solutions meets the business needs on a complex project or program

Skills
Strong business analysis skills and attention to detail
Computer engineering background preferred
