Job Description-Support the Production process with labor as needed during the Green Corn Receiving (GCR) process. Follow oral or written instructions to verify scale ticket-s material information to be unloaded matches the process order provided by the Harvest Coordinators.-Responsible for running hydraulic driven stationary walking floors and drive over decks during unloading procedures.-While performing the duties of this job, the contract worker is regularly required to stand, while applying physical exertion, pulling, pushing, twisting at the waist, walk on uneven surfaces, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.-Work in and around semi-truck and trailers on a daily basis.-Work next to a moving belt and communicate through radio with Production personnel.-Work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain and potentially snow).-Sweep, operate leaf blowers, and compressed air wands while keeping the immediate work area kernel clean. This task may require additional safety practices that may include Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) and try-stepping equipment.-Must be able to communicate with Green Corn Carriers (truck drivers) via hand signals or verbally when positioning the trucks.-Collect ear corn samples intermittently from the trucks and deliver to the sampling area.-Additional responsibilities for Sampling include being required to husk the ears and then shell kernels from the cob, repetitive reach motion with arms and hands. The kernels will then be ground up and placed in the Ohaus Moisture Testers.-Responsible for 2nd verification of scale ticket information and process orders.Why Kelly ® ?At Kelly Services ® , we work with the best.
