You'll find opportunities for every sized dream.Supply Technician IIUnityPoint Health-Proctor CampusShift: Full Time-PRN As-Needed 1st or 2nd shift Summary:The purpose of the position is to perform daily work activities in Central Supply (CS). These activities include, but not are not limited to; replenishing inventory in supply areas, labeling supplies, ordering supplies for clinical units, distribution of supplies, maintenance of PARS, replenishing supply carts and responding to stat requests

Accomplishes essential job tasks, as delegated by their supervisor, utilizing applicable policies and procedures in the performance of their duties.

Performs all duties necessary to provide requested supplies in an accurate and timely fashion.

Performs all duties necessary to ensure proper processing of all equipment and supplies within CS.

Performs all duties necessary to ensure proper handling of supplies, materials, and equipment throughout the Medical Center.

Performs all duties necessary to ensure that equipment assigned to SPD is properly handled and cleaned for various units.

Inventories, replenishes, and transports supply carts. Transporting carts requires moving carts from CS to various units.

Training for job tasks must be successfully completed.

Provides for answering telephones in a manner and attitude that reflects a professional image.

Provides for responding immediately to stat requests and situations.

Demonstrates good customer service skills

Addresses customer complaints appropriately and refers to management as needed

Provides for willingly communicating all information that other CS staff must know to assist them in the performance of their duties.

Provides for reporting to work, if requested, if an emergency situation develops in the hospital or community.

Provides a willingness to work past scheduled hours, if asked.

Provides for keeping work areas and break room neat and clean.

Provides for collecting all related patient information for the process of renting patient charged equipment.

Uses the Inventory Management system correctly to ensure accurate inventory.

Follows proper procedure for transporting supplies throughout the Medical Center.

Uses elevators to move carts from floor to floor.

Follows department protocols and regulatory requirements

Pulls and/or pushes carts in a safe manner

Pick up and return equipment and supplies to SPD when making deliveries when necessary.

AAble to do returns and credits.

Puts products away in the storeroom in the proper location.

Provides for returning soiled equipment for reprocessing.

Arranges items on delivery cart so that all items for one area are delivered at that time to prevent "backtracking".

Provides for use of volunteers to assist when appropriate.

Provides for checking the item number to ensure that the correct item is sent.

Provides for checking with user if request does not seem correct.

Returns equipment tags to management for final processing.

Possesses working knowledge of the Inventory Management System

Revises requisitions to reflect appropriate product numbers, UOMs and charge to locations.

Prints labels for PARs and storeroom.

Able to do inventory searches of PAR locations and warehouse items.

Uses RFID system to locate equipment.

Replenishes crash carts and exchange carts.

Fills stat orders correctly and expeditiously.

Uses the handheld device expertly to order supplies.

Performs all duties necessary to ensure that accurate inventory procedures and guidelines are followed.

Inventories and replenishes supply carts. The supply carts include exchange carts, par level carts, par level shelving, and emergency crash carts.

Demonstrates attention to detail and adheres to department policies.

Education

High School Diploma/GED Preferred

Work Experience

. 1-3 years of experience in/with restocking, prior experience in labeling and adjusting of inventories is Preferred.
