Job Summary:
Phlebotomist needed in clinic located in Peoria, IL
Part-Time position - 3 days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 8AM - 4:30PM)
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Identify patients and their personal information
-Draw blood using sterilized needles, vials and other equipment for sample testing
-Complete necessary documentations accurately and follow proper chain of custody
-Abide by HIPAA Regulations
-Label samples correctly and send out for testing
-Maintain professional boundaries while interacting with patients
-Participate in necessary educational and training activities as required by client
Requirements:
-Proven experience as a Phlebotomist
-Experience with effective puncture techniques
-Knowledge of legal requirements for drawing blood, handling fluid samples and use of relevant medical equipment and material
-Excellent communication skills
-Attention to detail
Education or Experience:
-Diploma in Phlebotomy or extensive on-the-job training
-Certification is a plus
