DTS has an opening for a Senior Hydraulics Design Engineer who will support our client in East Peoria, Illinois. The successful incumbent will support several programs and bring a strong combination of powertrain experience, hydraulics design knowledge, and mechanical system design experience. Key Responsibilities:Leveraging client design concepts, develop from scratch fluid systems designPerform thermal analysis of hydraulics system to achieve efficiency, performance and cooling capacity requirements verifying system operation within client specificationsUpdate existing engine and transmission assembly package integrating upgraded emission reduction technologiesUpdate truck assembly design to refresh product with newly designed partsRequired Experience:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar disciplineWorking knowledge of high pressure hydraulic and pneumatic system design on mobile applicationsWorking knowledge of numerical methods of structural analysis and stress analysis preferred. Finite element analysis (FEA) experience is a plus.5-10 years of mechanical design experience using Creo4-5 years of hydraulic system design experiencePreferred Experience:Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or similar disciplineAbility to work with customers and users to gather and document system requirementsKnowledge of direct drive rail applicationsKnowledge of large mining truck applicationsVolt is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
