Volt is looking for a Mechanic Assembler to work with our client located in Hampshire, IL.Our client offers a complete line of commercial and industrial maintenance products for today's cleaning industry. Responsibilities: Assemble products according to specifications (documentation, prints, bills of material, etc.) Examine parts being used on assemblies and reject if unacceptable. Verify assemblies as they are built to insure they pass workmanship and quality expectations. Assist Line Foreman as needed. Maintain material move tickets, inspection data, in-process tags, reject tags, rework orders, etc. Train on how to use the computer system to print material move tickets as needed. Follow all rules, policies and safety procedures as established by the company.Requirements: Assemble products according to specifications (documentation, prints, bills of material, etc.) Examine parts being used on assemblies and reject if unacceptable. Mechanically inclined; must be able to use a variety of hand, air and power tools. 1 year related work experience or educational equivalent in either mechanical assembly or as an auto/truck/heavy equipment mechanic Familiarity with engines and hydraulics a plus Ability to read prints General computer skills in a windows environment Detail oriented Willingness to learn new skills, safety conscious, good work habits Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Schedule is Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. Must be able to work Saturdays if necessary.
