Functions/Responsibilities:Basic understanding of Electronic Batch Ticketing (EBT) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) to follow finite scheduling activities.Obtain the skills to actively navigate through computerized warehouse management systems.Operate multiple types of mobile material handling equipment.Understanding of 5S and lean processes.Review process formulations for accuracy with regards to equipment parameters and material requirements.Monitor process operating parameters to assure product is made according to manufacturing orders.High level of computer interaction for PLC driven Human Machine Interface (HMI) to control the process and process efficiencies within safe operating conditions.Perform QC analysis as required by the process.Interact with Quality Control Department to deliver final product to packaging.Troubleshoot processing problems and take appropriate corrective action.Perform general 5S housekeeping duties.Manage lean programs within Operations Departments.Manage all duties in a manner consistent with environmental, health and safety policies and objectives.Utilize Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Materials Transportation Regulations to safely package product for transport to internal and external customers.Shipping and Receiving duties as assigned.Basic understanding of Physical Inventory and Cycle Counting processes.Organizational Relationships:Work with Department Supervision, Production Scheduling, Maintenance, Quality Control and Shipping on a daily basis.Routine interactions with Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S), Process Engineering, Six Sigma and site ISO Coordinator to recommend, develop, follow and participate in audits to assure the success of all Continuous Improvement initiates.Required Education and Experience:High School diploma/GED1-2 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment.Experience working with and troubleshooting rotating equipment, heat transfer equipment and process equipment controls ? VFD?s (Variable Frequency Drives), computerized plant and equipment controls such as PLCs. Able to learn new tasks and assignments and willing to maintain flexibility and support change.Experience with safety teams and continuous improvement programs.Must possess sound mathematical, verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to work with percentages.Must be able to be trained on 1st shift and then work the 2nd shift and occasional overtime.Must be able to lift 55 pounds on a routine basis. Preferred Experience:MRP experience with SAP.Shift:1st (7AM-3:30PM): Training 2nd (3PM- 11:30PM) w/ a $.20 shift differentialStarting Pay Rate: $16-17/hr based on experience and a $1 bump after successful completion of training.EOE Statement:Sun Chemical is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
