Volt is looking for someone with AUTO MECHANIC background to work in a 3rd shift position as a Lab Technician onsite with one of our fortune 500 customers in Milan, IL. If this is you APPLY TODAYIn this position you will:Monitor operation of test rigs and setups to maximize test rig uptimeMonitor and adjust test controls and trends for each test setup as needed to keep test rig operating, maximizing test rig uptimePerform specimen inspections as required by the defined test parametersDocument all incidents or activities related to each test with the Enterprise Event Tracking System (EETS) softwareContact responsible Deere personnel with any test setup or test specimen issues that prevent test uptimeMonitor new and existing incidences (failure modes) to insure there are no catastrophic failures of the test setup or test specimenPerform an emergency shut off of a test and/or of the main hydraulic power supply to prevent either catastrophic failures and/or environmental issuesWeekend test monitoring coverageParticipate in 5-SReport accidents and near miss incidentsReport any environmental spillsRequirements: Manager is ideally looking for candidates with a auto mechanic or diesel mechanic background.Knowledge of servo-hydraulic testing and the understanding of the electronic controllers running ADV tests.-General computer knowledge (use of Microsoft Word, Excel, web based programs).-Comfortable learning new computer software.-Able to perform mechanic work to prepare units for testing.-Able to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervisionMust be able to pass drug screen, and background.This position is subject to US Export Controls.
