TITLE: ServiceNow Developer / Administrator

Location: REMOTE

The ServiceNow Administrator will support a wide variety of activities to include scripted automations, access privileges, cloning, upgrades, maintenance activities and troubleshooting a wide variety of issues/implement corrective actions quickly, using creative problem-solving and strong technical expertise. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining system efficiency, platform stabilization and ensuring security through group/roles designation.

To be successful in this role, you should have ServiceNow technical skills spanning multiple ServiceNow modules and be accustomed to performing moderately complex system administration tasks. You should also have vision for using technology automations to increase efficiency, desire for continued growth, strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform daily administration, troubleshooting, and resolution of any issues arising in the ServiceNow environment
  • Understanding of and customize, configure, and support solutions on the ServiceNow platform as it relates to ITSM, ITOM, Service Portal, Workflows, Scoped Apps and/or other related functionality.
  • Assist in the review, design, and improvement of ServiceNow process and procedures while adhering to ServiceNow best practices, enforcing out-of-the-box functionality.
  • Work with IT and business leads to understand business needs and develop solutions that streamline process and drive scripted automation, while continuing to provide persistent system reliability, security, and platform health.
  • Perform day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow system, including managing users; maintain user and group roles and profiles, security settings, access settings, etc.
  • Strong understanding of workflow automations, User Interface (UI) policies, data polices, actions, business rules and client scripts.
  • Assist in development of technical and design approaches and collaborate with technical/functional resources at a team-level on development and configuration best practices and activities.
  • Contribute on Agile engagements, utilizing agile methodology appropriate to ServiceNow deployment and tools to enhance project efficiency and quality.
  • Participate in sprint planning and review meetings.
  • Participate in peer code reviews.
  • Participate in internal knowledge sharing and collaboration activities and initiatives.


Qualifications
  • 3-5 years ServiceNow administrator experience working with various modules within ServiceNow.
  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator and/or ServiceNow System Administrator training, preferably
  • Experience with ServiceNow Development APIs
  • ServiceNow Scripting like Scripted Rest APIs, Business rules, client scripts
  • ServiceNow REST API, ACLs, data policy, notifications, email scripts
  • LDAP Integration experience Single Sign-on configuration and administration
  • Experience with supervising and inspecting code migrations between instances, as well as providing feedback to technical resources on approaches to remediate assigned defects.
  • Experience with and ability to create/modify and maintain glide scripts used primarily for system automation.
  • Experience with and ability to create/modify ACLs, business rules, before/after rule scripts etc.
  • Experience with and ability to create/modify tables, forms, lists, workspace views, flows, and actions
  • Experience with and ability to create/modify clone profiles and cleanup scripts.
  • A passion for advising and guiding business customers and other IT leaders on how to get the most out of ServiceNow and for learning the latest product features.
  • Experience with and ability to create/modify platform oriented Automated Test Framework (ATF) scripts
  • Experience with DevOps using ServiceNow in an end-to-end product release pipeline.


Education
  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in a related field
