So What is Contracting and What will I be Doing?

This entry-level role is responsible for initial information gathering for managed care contracts and supporting relationships with clients. This role has the opportunity to interact with clients, team members, and members of our leadership team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that works well in a team atmosphere and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Contracting is the process of creating and revising managed care contracts to fit the needs of our clients. These contracts typically involve educating our clients on their options for rates and helping them make informed decisions. It also includes all data management on the back end.

Reach out to payors to update information on current contracts and applications.

Create accounts for payors in IntelliCred and internal systems.

Update payors and client information changes within internal and external systems.

Assemble documentation of current clients for onsite training meetings.

Complete and submit facility applications for our clients to insurance companies.

Complete daily to do items, send monthly status reports, and maintain personal and team e-mail.

Qualifications:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask.

Concrete organizational skills.

Proven experience working in a fast paced environment.

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience:

An associates degree in business or related field.

Two years of experience in healthcare field (managed care, credentialing, medical billing).

One year of knowledge of the managed care contracting and credentialing processes.
