Immediate opportunity with a Progressive Property Management firm for a dependable and committed FULL TIME Maintenance Technician for two of our local residential communities in Rockford, IL.
The qualified candidate would have a minimum of 2 yearsâ experience in a residential apartment community with demonstrated experience in maintenance, area/unit general upkeep for our multi-unit apartment community. This position requires the ability to work as a team in managing the daily operations for the maintenance responsibilities for both properties.
Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday -- Friday and rotational on-call and snow removal during the winter season.

Requirements:
⢠HVAC Certification preferred
.⢠Minimum of two yearsâ experience in residential apartment maintenance
.⢠EPA certification preferred
.⢠Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office software
.⢠Yardi property management software experience preferred, necessary for placing orders.
.⢠CPO certification a plus.
.⢠Required to pass background check and drug screen.
The Maintenance Technician will utilize their skills and knowledge of building maintenance principals and methods and work as a team with other Maintenance Technicians. Responsibilities include electrical power usage, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting and HVAC, light fixtures, filter changes, lock repairs, install/repair window coverings, caulking, vinyl repair and installation, appliance repairs, maintaining the grounds (including trash pick-up and snow removal) and common areas.
The Maintenance Technician will have intermediate skills in using tools such as electric drills & saws, volt and gas meters, key machine, power drain cleaner (snake), ladders, snow blowers, etc.
For consideration, a candidate will have 2-5 years of residential maintenance experience, must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, car insurance, their own tools, and excellent customer service skills.

Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 /hour
