JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary

Candidate will possess personal knowledge and skills to perform shipping/receiving and warehouse duties in a heated facility. Will properly warehouse auto parts with a bar-code device, load trucks with a forklift and perform necessary duties to get all of the days shipping and receiving completed before the end of the day. Candidate must be willing to work 1st shift. Schedules include Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Paid holidays after 90 days and a week paid vacation after 1 year.

Candidate must possess shipping/receiving & warehouse experience.

Ideal candidate will possess the following:

 Advanced knowledge of FedEx/UPS shipping software & general inventory principals

 Experience using bar code scanning device & personal computer

 Possess a full complement of personal knowledge about auto parts

 Forklift experience

 Management skills

Physical Requirements

 Full time: 8 hours per day, 5 day a week

 Report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete the scheduled workday on a consistent basis

 Ability to work, additional hours depending on service needs

 Lift, lower, push, pull, leverage and manipulate equipment and/or items weighing up to 70 pounds

 Operate power, pneumatic tools

 Required to wear personal protective equipment

 Work cooperatively in a diverse work environment

 Have a sufficient ability to communicate, through sight, hearing, and/or otherwise, to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.

Job Responsibilities

 Manage and direct 1-2 other co-workers in the department.

 Perform shipping/receiving and warehouse duties.

 Report defective products or questionable conditions to the department sales staff or supervisor.

 Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.

 Examine shipment contents and compare with purchase orders, bill of ladings, and/or invoices to verify accuracy.

 Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting or record-keeping purposes.

 Determine shipping methods to be used.

 Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S.

 Shipping/Inventory experience.

 Must be at least 21 years of age.

 Class D standard driver's license required.
