Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare raw materials for productions runs and verify materials match with the customer order requirements and production schedule.

Connect raw material (metal) through a stitching process.

Visually inspect coils to identify defects (marks, dents, scratches, etc.) in raw materials and finished products

Work as a team to complete production set ups to ensure an efficient changeover from job to job.

Package coils to customer requirements (paper, cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.). This may include driving a forklift or helping the forklift driver.

Ensure that finished goods are properly and safely stacked both on the forklift and in the warehouse.

Keep a work area that is clean and safe through the removal of production scrap and packaging scrap by disposing of the waste in a timely fashion and placing the waste in the proper receptacles.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in reading and writing English

Mathematical Skills Understanding basic measurements and mathematics when using a calculator, and a comfort level with computers as some data entry or data lookup is required.

Work Environment:

Large machinery with moving parts as well as forklift traffic and material storage
