Sheet Metal Connectors Inc. is a leading manufacturer of HVAC ductwork. We are currently accepting applications for a Machine Operator position in our Rockford, IL plant. This is a full time, long term position that requires a highly motivated and conscientious individual. Applicants to be considered will have a high attention to detail and be able to work well in a team oriented environment.
Job Duties
Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently in fast paced environment
Able to independently interact with various plant personnel to fulfill daily requirements.
Accurately set up roll forming machines to produce large production runs
Able to monitor quality of products on a continual basis with high attention to details.
Quickly and accurately make machine adjustments.
General troubleshooting skills for mechanical issues
Keep the work area clean and organized
Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment as required.
Qualifications
Applicant to have a general knowledge of machine mechanics
Ability to stand while operating machines for long periods of time
Forklift experience
Lifting of up to 80lbs may be required
Must have a great sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to multi-task and problem solve. Great attention to detail.
Strong math and analytical skills.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and random screenings thereafter.
