We are looking for a highly self motivated individual to fill the position of production supervisor/ process engineer.
We are a fast growing, fast pace machine shop; strong organizational skills are a must with a background in machining. Mazak programming experience is a huge plus.
Job duties will include:
1. Production supervision - goals here will be to work with the team on being productive, charting their production, and boosting productivity when opportunities rise.
2. Assist in scheduling the machine shop. By using the productivity studies you will be using this data to help schedule the shop floor to ensure jobs are best placed in machines and to ensure due dates are met.
3. Process engineer- the use of your machine knowledge to help lay out jobs and tooling for best efficiency. Cycle time reductions, and general problem solving. Writing of internal shop processes to give set up/operators direction on how to process the job. Quoting of new work.
4. 5S and implementing Lean strategies.
With the help of 2 others there are 45-50 employees to manage spread over 2 shifts.
