This paid internship offers a hands-on opportunity to dive into key HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, benefits, and training & development. This flexible, part-time role (about 25 hours/week) is based in our Rosemont, IL office, perfect for students eager to balance learning with experience.What You Will Do:
Assist in welcoming new hires by supporting the onboarding process, preparing swag bags, and organizing training materials.
Be the first point of contact for visitors, setting a positive tone from the moment they walk in.
Engage employees by managing monthly birthday and anniversary celebrations.
Collaborate with the Benefits Specialist on wellness initiatives that support employee well-being.
Track 30/60/90 day evaluations to help new hires stay on course.
Maintain HR databases, employee files, and reports, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Gain hands-on experience in recruiting, from posting jobs to interviewing candidates.
Support the HR team with a variety of exciting projects and tasks—no two days will be the same!
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A professional approach to handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team.
Eagerness to learn and grow in the HR field.
