Lead Carpenter

LEAD CARPENTER Responsibilities at DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen
1. Reviews production procedure before each project
2. Reviews materials in staging area prior to start of job
3. Attends pre-construction meetings
4. Performs all carpentry duties listed in scope of work of each contract unless otherwise assigned for trade partners completion
5. Manages production hours to meet or beat estimated production hours (Ask for details about Lead Carpenter Compensation)
6. Collects payments from homeowners and delivers to office per payment schedule
7. Ensures quality and timeliness of trade partner work
8. Sets up dust control at job sites
9. Communicates progress of job to homeowners and production manager
10. Keeps work vehicle clean and stocked with necessary materials
11. Keeps a clean appearance and wears DM-approved clothing
12. Reviews the scope of work/specifications with homeowners
13. Reviews change order requests with salesperson and processes change orders as necessary
14. Completes job completion checklist and reviews with homeowners
15. Follows the DreamMaker Code of Values
Education & Experience Required:
Minimum: High School degree
Ideal work experience of 3-5 years in construction field
Experience at working with trade partners (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, countertops, drywall, tile and flooring)
Understanding of construction basics and possess relevant skills such as:
Framing
Trim carpentry
Tile installation
Flooring systems
Install wall sheeting
Cabinet installation
Doors & windows
Other Qualities:
Basic computer skills and understanding of MS Office applications
Comfortably manage files & messages on a smart phone
Exceptional customer relations skills
Internal and external customer service focus
Ability to communicate and work in a productive team environment
Good oral and written communication skills
Effective time management skills and prioritize by highly profitable actions
Effective and creative use of problem solving skills
Must be self-motivated
Goal setting to measure performance
