The
Education Coordinator Histology reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.Under the direction of the AP Manager and the Program Director of the School of Histotechnology at Roosevelt University, the Education Coordinator has the responsibility and accountability for overseeing the clinical educational aspects of the program and coordinating clinical activities ensuring students are able to achieve competency in all aspects of Histotechnology. This position facilitates the operational activities related to quality patient care and overall department function.
In addition to performing all of the duties of the Education Coordinator, a Coordinator assumes a lead role in daily operations, classroom instruction, student evaluation and record maintenance, and takes on responsibilities as assigned by the AP Manager.
This position is responsible for communication with pathologists, residents, and coordinators regarding specimen problems. The position is also required to participate in the laboratory occurrence management program.
