Job Description

• Translate product requests from Marketing into commercially workable designs for complete tools or sub-systems of tools within project timelines.
• Communicate the benefits and limitations of designs with multinational project teams.
• Develop design quality checks to ensure product validation testing yields minimal changes.
• Minimize the product costs through design simplification.
• Demonstrate or develop an understanding of user needs, and applications for the tool.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics or 8 years of equivalent industry experience.
• Strong Electro/Mechanical Engineering skillset.
• Strong Pro E3D solid modeling and surface modeling skills mandatory.
• Preferred experience in design and engineering maintenance of portable electric power tools.
• Heat Transfer analysis - Document Thermal transfer within a design.
• Finite Element Analysis - Create or critique computer structure analysis models.
• Basic electrical theory. - Apply electrical theory to the electrical system of power tools.
• Basic Motor knowledge -Experience driving loads with Universal, PMDC, or Brushless DC motors.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in cross functional, cross cultural team in an Agile environment.
• Domestic and international travel up to 25%.
