Job Description

As User Researcher, you will work with peers and internal stakeholders to plan, manage, and execute research in North America. You will support the team purpose to provide unbiased actionable market & user insights that influence overall business decision making in North America. This is an exciting opportunity to explore & introduce best practices on research methodologies & analysis to the organization.

  • Design & conduct B2C studies for Professional & Do-It-Yourself users from inception to completion with quality, timeliness and professionalism
  • Consult with stakeholders & internal team members to recommend research designs & methods most appropriate to answer research questions
  • Perform research using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative techniques, including in-person & online questionnaires, field studies, usability tests, workshops & surveys including deciding on an in-house or external vendor approach
  • Identify Pro & DIY user trends impacting the market & competitive landscape
  • Prepare & facilitate work sessions to synthesize analysis into larger strategic findings
  • Manage multiple stakeholder needs effectively and sensitively. Clearly communicate key findings/recommendations in an actionable way to the stakeholders
  • Develops clear, concise, and insightful presentations for executive leadership that highlight consumer insights and articulate strategic opportunities for growth
  • Establish strong, collaborative working relationships with external vendors/suppliers to ensure that deliverables are consistent with project research objectives
  • Build the role to become a trusted advisor and go-to-person within the organization for sharing challenges and innovative solutions for answering important business questions
  • Ability to manage & organize groups user research projects & prioritize appropriatelyincluding guiding interns

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree, Business Administration, Behavioral/User Research, Psychology is required; Master's Degree Business Administration, Behavioral/User Research, Psychology is preferred.

Research in consumer good industry required. Durable consumer goods industry experience is desirable.

Competency with user research software including Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Cross Tabs, etc. required.

You hold excellent analytical skills, with ability to synthesize user research data from multiple data sets, & utilizing analytical tools including Excel, Pivot Tables, etc.

Market research online community (MROC) experience is a plus, along with agency experience.

Strong presentation skills from preparation to presenting to stakeholders & executives; Comfortable with workshop facilitation & preparation.

Experience in writing discussion guides, screeners, test protocols, & final reports.

You are a self-motivated, highly resourceful team player with a positive “can-do” attitude! You are approachable, and enjoy working collaboratively in a team environment.

Familiar with Design Thinking / User Experience methodology/approach.

Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.

Travel Percentage is approximately 10%.
