We Are Hiring Registered Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Care - PRN, Rotating St Vincent Anderson-2015 Jackson Street - Anderson, IN The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) performs routine respiratory care procedures as assigned, varying in complexity. These include, but are not limited to: preparation, administration and monitoring of medication and treatment modalities and gas therapy, ventilator support, spirometry. Respiratory Therapist are part of the emergency response team, including trauma code 1, Rapid Response Team, Labor and Delivery and code blue. The direct care team, aids physicians and other care health professionals with respiratory care related procedures within the scope of the professional licensure. Delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to standards and guidelines established by respiratory agencies and Ascension Health to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service. In FY2018, Ascension provided nearly $2 billion in care of persons living in poverty and other community benefit programs.What You Will Do As an Associate with St. Vincent Health-IN, you will have the opportunity to provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.Responsibilities:

Assesses patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.

Implements and monitors patient care plan and equipment. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition.

Performs advanced respiratory care modalities, such as intubation and arterial line insertion.

Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.

Educates the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.

Responds to emergency resuscitation team code.

What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

BLS Provider obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Preferred Credential(s):

Advanced Life Support.

Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Education:

Diploma

High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

Work Experience:

None required.

Adult Critical Care Specialist preferred.
