Provides project management, group facilitation skills, problem-solving skills, and analysis, clinical review/investigation and process improvement skills.ACCOUNTABILITIES : 1) Coordinates and manages continuous improvement projectsa) Facilitates quality teams through improvement processb) Identifies specific opportunities to improve by analyzing available data and information.c) Collaborates with medical leadership and management to develop plans for improvement.d) Use quality improvement methods, tools and project management to develop and maintain project support for leadership and team(s)e) Simultaneously manage, advise and facilitate multiple projects to support health plan quality goals2) Investigates quality of care concerns, identifies trends and uses data to support provider improvement a) Defines evaluative strategy for improvement activities collaboratively within teams or groups.b) Provide consultative support to medical groups to facilitate improvement.c) Comply with accreditation and regulatory documentation requirements for clinical qualityd) Establishes and maintains effective communications with team leaders and members, stakeholders and contacts. e) Routinely evaluates project performance, compiles reports and monitors progress toward improvement goals3) Ensures alignment of improvement activities and performance measurement with medical practice guidelines.4) Actively pursues professional development to continuously enhance knowledge and skills.a) Understand and acts as consultant to others on regulatory quality expectations and clinical best practicesb) Pursues ongoing continuing education of CQI practice trends and guideline management strategies.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Registered Nurse, current license in State of Minnesota Five or more years experience in health care.

Training in total quality management or continuous quality improvement.

Experience leading/facilitating quality improvement activities.

Experience coaching physicians and managers and staff in team dynamics, quality improvement and managing change. Ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Experience defining data needs and analyzing customer and clinical data.

Strong ability to use Microsoft Office suite of products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Group presentation experience.

Project management experience.

Knowledge of state and federal quality standards and regulations

Ability to successfully manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in health care related field

Healthcare Quality Certification

Health plan experience

DECISION-MAKING :

Position requires individual to work with teams exercising creativity, flexibility and independent judgment when guiding the group in identification of problems, identification of alternative courses of action, evaluation of implications and consequences and choosing the best course of action. Individual independently manages daily work, determining priorities for multiple projects. Individual independently determines appropriate statistical tool to apply. Works to identify and resolve barriers to improvement. Identifies and implements opportunities to improve.
