Internal application materials are located in the Myself>My Company section of the UltiPro portal.The Department Chair is a leader in Academic Affairs, serving as the academic expert for the assigned programs, providing vision, oversight, and direction for academic quality and student success. The position is responsible for overseeing curriculum development, program review, learning outcome assessment, and the academic health of the program(s). The Department Chair works collaboratively with the Department Dean and program faculty, engaging regularly with leaders across the College to ensure academic programming is of the highest quality and students are successful. Ability to teach in one’s discipline is an essential component of this role.Responsibilities:

Serves as the key leader for the assigned programs, providing programmatic expertise for campuses, national online, and central services.

Supports goals and objectives related to programmatic and student outcomes.

Provides oversight for the development and maintenance of offerings and courses, working closely with key stakeholders.

Manages ongoing program review and program enhancement processes. Evaluates student learning outcomes and disseminates the results to ensure ongoing quality improvement.

Develops and leads Program Advisory Board meetings to ensure that programs and curricula are relevant for today’s workforce.

Monitors programmatic licensing, accreditation, regulations, and external standards and alignments, working with Licensure and Accreditation as needed to ensure compliance.

Serves as a programmatic expert and liaison to marketing, admissions and career services.

Actively participates as a member of the Program Leadership Division in Program Delivery.

Reporting Relationships:The Department Chair reports to the Department Dean. This role has no direct reports.Requirements:

Master's degree in digital design (or related).

At least 3 years teaching experience in higher education.

At least 8 years of experience in field of study.

Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in higher education.

Familiarity with regulatory and compliance bodies including the Higher Learning Commission.

Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, leadership, and peers.

Demonstrated track record of organizational/team/individual development.

Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills.

Self-motivated, flexible, goal-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast pace environment.

Ability to set ones’ own priorities, work effectively under pressure, and meet frequently occurring deadlines with minimum supervision.

Possess a spirit of enthusiasm, energy, and multi-cultural awareness.
