Braun Intertec, a leader in the engineering and environmental consulting field, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to be based in our Minneapolis or St Paul, Minnesota locations. The purpose of this role is to manage environmental engineering/consulting work for transportation clients in the Upper Midwest market. The successful candidate will play a principal role in environmental consulting and service delivery for environmental investigation, remediation, and compliance during the design and construction phases of transportation-related projects. Responsibilities Service the environmental consulting needs of clients through project work, project management and business development through service delivery. Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates and proposals for environmental transportation-related projects and services. Lead, supervise and mentor the Braun Intertec environmental transportation service delivery team. Direct project teams on-site assessments; investigations of contaminated soil, groundwater and soil vapor; work plan and report preparation; and response action planning. Manage the remediation of various contaminants for site clean up and construction. Provide expertise with regards to environmental compliance during construction of transportation projects, include alternative delivery projects. Interface with other Braun Intertec business units to cross-sell services to business partners. Required Skills: Demonstrated ability to direct, coordinate and/or manage engineer and scientist project teams Excellent knowledge of environmental regulations and experience working directly with the MPCA and other state regulatory programs Experience in developing remedial investigations, feasibility studies, response action plans and remediation plans and specifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with permitting, stormwater, spill preventation, and other environmental compliance -related items related to transportation construction Flexible working style and willingness to modify personal schedules to meet business needs Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field; Master's degree preferred Certifications in stormwater design/site management, asbestos inspector, and OSHA HAZWOPER; CPESC, PG, PE, and/or CHMM designations preferred 10+ years direct experience with contaminated site investigation, remediation, and environmental compliance; experience in the transportation industry preferred Proven track record of managing complex environmental projects The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring.
