Meadowood is a beautiful community in Bloomington, IN, with more than 260 units offering independent living and skilled nursing care.
At this time, we are seeking a Food and Beverage Director to join our team.
The successful candidate will be a professional with an excellent guest services and culinary background; organized, knowledgeable with systems, applied sanitation practices, procedures, and bring creativity to the art of food preparation on a daily basis.

Essential Functions:
⢠Lead the departmentâs management team in providing outstanding resident dining experiences.
⢠Provide culinary vision to Executive Chef and culinary team in the daily preparation of a wide variety of menu items; uphold standards of quality, cost, presentation, and flavor of foods.
⢠Plan and direct special and catering events.
⢠Maintain current knowledge of related laws, regulations, and processing procedures to meet all state, federal, local requirements as applied to long-term-care and assisted living communities.
⢠Hire, train, and develop employees, prepare work schedules and maintain adequate staffing, order food and supplies, check shipments and conduct inventories.
Minimum Job Requirements:
⢠5 to 8 yearsâ experience as Food and Beverage Director in a large Continuing Care Retirement Community, resort, or country club setting.
⢠Must have knowledge of safe food preparation and handling techniques, be skilled in bulk food preparation and have knowledge of nutritional standards and applications
⢠Must have excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills with a proven ability to work with a diverse team
⢠Experience with MS Word and Excel and web based services desired
