Vacancy expired!

Our mission: "We hope that all who stay or live at Lost River Hostel will be inspired to improve themselves and improve the world around them."

We are now into year three of the creation of Lost River Hostel and recently opened to the general public. This eco hostel is intended to provide a space for guests to come through for a night or two to relax, rejuvenate, and return to a state of bliss and inspiration. The resident staff will be asked to help upkeep the garden, marking and maintaining trails around the property, caring for our chickens, construction of new structures, composting, preparation of meals for the staff and guests, and all around creating a loving and beautiful environment for all who stay. Right now we are looking for people with different skills and backgrounds. While your skill set is an attribute, kindness and a collaborative, open spirit are valued above all. Staff will be compensated with housing, all meals provided, and a small weekly stipend. Your availability for the duration of your stay at the hostel should be between 30 and 90 days.

Our quaint farmhouse on the hill sits on 16 acres of wooded wonderland only minutes away from the Hoosier National Forest. In our leisure time, we enjoy taking hikes, kayaking down the river, painting, yoga in our sunroom, reading, playing music in our living room that is stocked with instruments of all different kinds, sharing stories, sitting by the fire, taking a dip in our pond, and meditating underneath the forest's canopy.

More information is available on the staff page of our website: (https://www.lostriverhostel.com/staff/) There, you will also find our application. Chosen candidates will be contacted to arrange a Skype interview. We look forward to sharing our little community with you!
