Outside Account Sales Professional

The ideal candidate will be responsible for business to business account sales activities in the Southern Indiana 19-county area of operations.
POSITION SCOPE:
The Outside Account Sales Professional collaborates with the Inside Sales Associate Team to identify prospective customers, optimize and execute sales & marketing plans, while getting a combination of scheduled and self-generated sales appointments with a variety of businesses, including banks, car dealerships, churches, department stores, hotels, medical facilities, office buildings, restaurants, and schools, among others. This role is expected to meet/exceed individual sales-related objectives and is a full-time, salaried, plus commission position.
This role reports directly to company President/Owner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Improve Market Intelligence Drive Sales Closings Build Teamwork and Success
Meet with potential customers identified by Jan-Pro's in-house telemarketing team.
Selectively cold call potential customers.
Develop proposals for prospective customers.
Establish and maintain accurate prospect and customer records.
Coordinate the start-up of new accounts with Operations Representatives.
Make recommendations to Management regarding effective sales methods and techniques.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree preferred
2 year B2B sales experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Clear and pleasant telephone manner
Knowledge of MS Office products to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Proficient in the use of the Internet
Ability to document detailed and accurate prospect and client information in electronic database
Previous experience and/or strong passion for sales-focused role with proven track-record of success meeting/exceeding goals and thriving in a team-based environment

Physical requirements are commensurate to those that must be met by an employee to effectively perform the essential functions of this job, including, among other requirements, the ability to lift 10 lbs. and walk to cold-call and perform site assessments.
