Logistics Customer Service

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity in the logistics industry, located in Columbia City, Indiana. Our team is seeking a Logistics Customer Service detail oriented. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring efficient operations of our warehouse, coordinating deliveries, managing shipping documentation, and maintaining customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all supply chain procedures to ensure optimal quality of delivery Coordinate deliveries based on product availability and customer requests Monitor and maintain records of orders, products, suppliers, and customers Handle electronic and physical shipping documents such as EDI PO's, Warehouse Sales Orders and Bills of Lading Track orders and schedule freight appointments to ensure timely deliveries Manage customer inquiries, providing information about the status of their orders Monitor warehouse stock levels and submit cut reports as needed Implement strategies to enhance the order fulfillment cycle Use logistics software or transport management systems to streamline processes Utilize Microsoft Office Suites for data entry and administrative tasks. Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service role, preferably within the logistics industry Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook Experience with Management Systems Familiarity with 'About Time' software Knowledge and understanding of cargo and delivery processes Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle queries and complaints effectively Proven ability to perform data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy Ability to coordinate and manage deliveries efficiently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure Strong organizational and time management skills.
