Job Description
Medical Assistant's who have an Associate Degree (or higher) may qualify for the Assistant Campus Director of Education position. The Assistant Campus Director of Education works under the direct supervision of the Campus Director with support from the Corporate Director of Education. In this role, you will assist in the day-to-day academic operations of the campus and provide leadership and support to the students and faculty. You will create a supportive and team-driven environment which allows students to complete the program of study and achieve educational goals.

Requirements
An Associateâs Degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), preferably in the allied health field or a closely related field, Bachelorâs Degree preferred.
Experience in educational methodology such as curriculum development, educational psychology, faculty management, training, staff development and/or classroom teaching experience
3+ years of full-time work experience within the past 7 years, in a health care setting with clinical, or clinical & administrative experience, including a minimum 40 hours of experience in an ambulatory health care setting (where medical care is delivered on an outpatient basis)
License, certification or registration in related field
Management responsibilities, including staff supervision, projects, goal achievement, compliance and budget
Reference and background check required for employment, including credit check
Ability to work at least two evenings a week
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Accepts responsibility for the academic operation of the campus under the direct supervision of the Campus Director
Faculty Supervision
Serves as Lead Faculty for Medical Assistant and Medical Insurance Billing Office Administrative Programs
Assists Campus Director in identifying and interviewing potential faculty members
Arranges for onboarding of new instructors and faculty training
Conducts a minimum of one faculty in-service per fiscal year
Responsible for monitoring classroom instruction to ensure faculty are following the established curriculum, utilizing available instructional materials and using appropriate instructional methodology and resources
Conducts faculty evaluations and observations
Reviews survey and evaluation results with the Campus Director for appropriate action plan and any disciplinary action
Audits grading and attendance
Provides classroom support as needed
Makes arrangements for classroom, externship seminar and Saturday make-up session coverage
As necessary, assists with providing Ross Education, LLC with suggested updates for curriculum, equipment, and resources to support the programs
Ensures faculty members remain current in licensure, certification and professional development requirements
Facilitates quarterly faculty meetings and attends staff meetings
Prepares faculty annual evaluations with assistance from the Campus Director
Monitors program supply orders
Student Management
Monitors student retention and placement rates for all programs to ensure campus meets established goals and assists staff with improvement plans if necessary
Responsible for leading student retention activities that include contacting absent students, identifying and monitoring high-risk students to provide support for successful program completion
Actively participates in orientation for new classes
Approves student make-up attendance sessions
Provides guidance and assistance as needed
Helps prepare progress reports, issues alerts, warnings and probations
Meets with students as necessary
Assists with planning and attends annual graduation celebration
General
Attends Advisory Board meetings , and develops community contacts who can assist with job placement, externship site set-up and community involvement
Assists Campus Director in preparation of reports; including accreditation annual reports, IPEDS reports, Retention and Placement Reports and weekly operating reports
Perform Human Resources activities as needed
Schedules and conducts site visits for approval of new student externship sites as needed
Schedules and conducts student externship site phone conferences, Externship Follow-up Evaluations and completes appropriate paperwork
Effectively uses CampusVue to gather data and accurately complete reports
Has a comprehensive understanding of the day-to-day operations in the campus and accepts responsibility for the operation of the campus in the Campus Directorâs absence
Must complete two in-services and at least one professional development activity each fiscal year
Performs related work as required
Key Metrics
Show consistent improvement in student retention with each program meeting, at a minimum, the ABHES standard of 70% and striving for Ross standard of 80%, while meeting the monthly drop budget
Show consistent improvement (year over year) in faculty retention
Strive for positive survey results of 85% or above on Faculty Evaluations and Student Opinion Surveys
Must have zero tolerance for non-compliant behavior or process and have positive compliance audits related to faculty and student records
Perform related work as required
