Summary

Under the direction of a licensed Nurse and with respect for human dignity delivers a variety of high quality, basic patient care services that meet the needs and uniqueness of assigned patients. Is responsible for the delivery of quality care and service excellence; and adheres to the PH Standards of Behavior.Education

High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Must meet one of the following requirements: current CNA, EMT or Paramedic certification, or must take 5 week CNA course (CNA class and time spent in class paid for by Parkview) at time of hire; 2 years’ experience in a healthcare related field (training time will be determined based on experience); or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school having completed first clinical rotations (nursing school transcripts required). Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)].

If candidate is at least 18 years of age but does not yet have a current high school diploma/GED, must meet the following requirements: must be actively working towards high school diploma/GED and receive within 1 year of hire; AND have current CNA license; OR have participated in a Health Occupations Education (HOE) program.Licensure Certification

Must have current CPR at or above the Healthcare Provider level from the American Heart Association or obtain within 60 days of hire. EMT/CNA/Paramedic certification preferred.Other Qualifications

Prefer one year minimum of experience working in the patient care setting, preferably as a patient care giver. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.Must be able to attend four (4) days of New Hire/Patient Care/EPIC Orientation. Typical Orientation schedule is Monday (All Day), Tuesday (All Day), Wednesday (All Day), and Thursday (PM).
