WELDER (Kendallville, IN)
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for set-up, lay-out , and tack-up of various precision product weldments and brackets. Ability to tack up structures to tight tolerances. Ability to weld precision products to exact tolerances. Ability to hold final required cosmetic finish with angle grinders and sanders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Mig weld milled steel and stainless steel.
2. Seam Welding
3. Square up and weld various geometries of components.
4. Understand various weld form symbols on blue prints and understand size of fillet forms.
5. Weld both vertical and horizontal plane geometry.
6. Understand various edge preps before welding.
7. Good understanding of set up techniques.
8. Meets goals and objectives in a timely manner.
9. Arrives to work on time and as scheduled.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. AWS WELDER CERTIFICATION desired
2. MINIMIUM - Four years welding experience either in a production or job shop environment.
3. High Diploma or GED
4. Demonstrate effective verbal, written, and communication skills.
5. Must be able to pass pre-employment welding test
6. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
WORKING CONDITIONS
First Shift! Manufacturing environment. May be exposed to loud noises, small spaces, changing temperatures and machinery with moving parts.
WAGES
Starting wage over $19.91 per hour plus benefits including paid holidays, vacations, pension plan and health care. Overtime available!
