Description We are on the lookout for a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be situated in Greenfield, Indiana, and will be instrumental in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. This role entails working closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports, ensuring legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Responsibilities: Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts. Utilizing QuickBooks to maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers, prepare and analyze budgets, and perform general bookkeeping. Handling monthly, quarterly and annual closings to ensure timely and accurate financial information. Executing accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing, tracking, and reporting. Performing bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy. Implementing and maintaining financial controls and procedures. Assisting in the preparation of month-end close procedures and postings. Conducting regular ledger preparation. Regularly maintaining and reconciling journal entries. Participating in financial standards setting and in the forecast process. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations Proficient in maintaining and managing the General Ledger Proven ability to prepare and post Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close processes Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Must maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive financial information Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
