Accountant (Accounts Payable/ Receivable Specialist)- State of IndianaOur client is looking for an Accountant candidate to assist their department. This position is a 3 month contract with likelihood of extension. Position hours are 8:15am-4:45pm, Monday-Friday.Pay rate: $14-15.50/hr depending on experienceJOB DUTIES:Accounts Receivables /revenue specialist: Prepares Daily Reports of Collection, scans documentation, completes all direct journal entries, updates receivable ledger and customer accounts;Accounts Payable: Enters account payables vouchers, coordinates purchase order receiving and communicates with vendors as needed. Completes cost allocations of postage, vehicle and IOT Billings.Additional Duties: Reconciles accounts and subsidiary ledgers with general ledger; Posts transactions to cost summary journals; Prepares a variety of accounting and financial reports from the accounts maintained.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Prefer 1 - 3 years experience with Peoplesoft Financials, and Microsoft Excel.Working Conditions: This role performs work in a standard office environment.Physical Effort: This role performs work in an environment where sitting for extended periods of time could be expected.Competencies : Acquiring Information, Making Accurate Judgments and Decisions, Communicating Effectively, Solving Complex Problems and Acting with Integrity.If interested in this position, please apply online on the Kelly Services Career Network or you may find this role online on CareerBuilder.
