Ensures adherence and expectations of quality, schedule, and performance. Accountable for success of construction Wind project execution. Ensures compliance for assigned area in accordance with Division Policies, Standard, Guides, and Contractual Commitments as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide constructability expertise to engineering design teams. Attend kick off meeting and field walkdown of project, including interviewing plant maintenance personnel when relevant. Attend design team weekly project meetings. Assist in developing the construction portion of RFQs. Assist project controls in developing the construction portion of the level I,II and IIIschedules. Develop the preliminary construction execution plan for the project. Develop the staffing plan and MRS as required for the project cost estimate.Monitors, verifies and reports on construction activities for compliance with the CPM schedule; tracks and reports on completion of project schedule activities and commodity installation.Assists site team in resolving problems and reports on issues related to drawings and information, schedule, quality, quantity tracking, cost reporting, and safety.Monitors discipline construction productivity, progress, and cost, and reports to Operations.Takes necessary actions to maintain targets.Conducts sitesupervision meetings to review/assist in daily, weekly, and monthly planning.Develops corrective plan to ensure progress and productivity targets are met. Monitors assigned subcontractor(s) for compliance with subcontract scope and schedule requirements.Develops a stable working relationship with Client and assigned subcontractor(s). Develops and distributes a Job Hazard Analysis for major erection packages within scope.Identifies potential back charges and out of scope issues and reports to Construction Manager. Supports commercial recovery process.Provides supervision, training, development, and performance management to direct reports.Adheres to safety and quality standards as applicable to duties and accountabilities.Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.Acts in capacity of a "supervisor ".Management ResponsibilitiesPreferred Qualifications10+ years’ experience with EPC execution in the wind industry – with the majority of the experience in the field executing wind projects onshore – offshore experience a plus

Understand safety protocols with wind turbine erection

Experience with multiple wind OEMs – including:

General Electric

Siemens Gamesa

Vestas

Nordex

Field experience with the following scopes:

Site Civil Work

Below grade electrical collection system

Turbine foundation placement

Wind turbine erection

Including crane selection and rigging requirements

Down tower wire installation

MCC Turnover

Experience with the development of crane walk/break down strategy

Experience with crane technology and selection

Experience with managing both direct hire craft and subcontractors during construction

Experience with specialty turbine erection tools

Bolt tensioning

Torquing

Blade/rotor handling devices

Turbine Vendor Special Tooling

Experience with development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for direct hire scopes of work

Experience with negotiating contracts with project owners/developers and with subcontractors

Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.Work Environment: Typical construction site environment: Requires working in cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions.
