excellence every day.Position SummaryThe Clinical Operations Manager position is accountable for the
Operating Rooms, Sterile Processing, Pre/Post unit and Registration area
within the Methodist Medical Plaza South building located at 135/County
Line Road. We are seeking an experienced OR Manager to lead clinical,
people, service and financial excellence behaviors. This position exists
to provide supervisory leadership and clinical support and to provide
assistance relating to administrative functions to the Director and to
serve as a representative of the departments and act as a liaison to
other departments, physicians and individuals. For many areas this would
include a 24-hour accountability.Requirements
Requires current state of Indiana licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN); Master of Nursing (MSN)
preferred for new hires and promotions after August 1; 2005.
Current incumbents who do not meet this minimum requirement must
meet or exceed the essential function of the position.
Requires comprehensive nursing experience and documented leadership
experience which is typically gained through five to eight years of
progressive experience.
Requires ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all
members of the multi-disciplinary team.
Requires the ability to build effective working relationships with
the physicians.
Requires knowledge of state and national regulatory agencies
Requires the ability to plan and manage the utilization of
resources.
Requires ability to learn and apply IU Health West personnel
policies and procedures.
Requires ability to facilitate and lead work groups.
Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
Requires ability to promote teamwork and build effective
relationships.
Requires strong customer service skills.
Requires ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
Requires a high level of interpersonal; problem-solving and
analytical skills.
Requires familiarity with health care reimbursement environment.
Basic Life Support certification required. Other advanced life
support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty
according to patient care policies.
