DescriptionA well-known company is seeking a Payroll Clerk, on a part-time basis, to fill a 6 month need. A dynamic company in the Investment Management/Companies industry is looking to hire a Payroll Clerk and has partnered with Accountemps to find the ideal candidate to join their team. This position will require a variety of duties such as data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. Being able to effectively communicate with both internal team members and outside customers is integral to this position. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Indianapolis, Indiana area and is a long-term temporary employment role. THIS POSITION WILL BE 30 HRS/WK WITH A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULEWhat you get to do every single day
Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals
Be the main point of instruction/training contact to employees regarding payroll-related best practices
Build and run custom reports
Organize data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
Build a system of administering and distributing reports
Requirements
Previous payroll experience
Enthusiasm when it comes to learning new systems and ideas
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
Strong time management and organizational skills
Prior knowledge in Payroll software
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Solid understanding of ADP Workforce Now
Excellent data entry skills
