excellence every day.Position Summary This position exists to provide comprehensive infant feeding services to
families through inpatient and outpatient services. The incumbent is
responsible for developing, marketing and implementing plans for the
program. This position will increase awareness of the lactation program
and develop educational materials for use with various audiences.QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Requires current state of Indiana RN licensure.
Requires certification by the International Board of Lactation
Consultant Examiners (I . B . L . C . E .) or be certified within
one year of hire.
Basic Life Support certification required. Other advanced life
support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty
according to patient care policies.
Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN)
preferred.
New ASN RNs hired after January 1, 2013 will be required to complete
their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire into this job.
Requires background working with childbearing families or maternal
health nursing.
Requires ability to work independently.
Requires ability to prioritize workload.
Requires ability to plan and manage utilization of resources.
Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
Requires strong customer service skills.
