Description A leading law firm in Indianapolis is currently seeking a highly skilled Director of Administration to join and lead their firm. Job Overview: The Director of Administration will play a pivotal, senior-level role within the organization, driving efficiency in day-to-day operations and people management. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience handling law firm administration duties, ideally experience in the legal sector, demonstrated competencies in financial management, budgeting, human resources, and a proven record of strategic planning. Responsibilities: Provide strategic oversight of all operational activities, implementing efficient administrative systems. Handle robust fiscal management of finance operations, including budget planning, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll. Lead human resources duties, including hiring, developing, and managing the performance of administrative and support staff. Implement HR policies and procedures, manage staff scheduling, conflict resolution, and other personnel issues. Work closely with the IT department to ensure all computer systems and infrastructure align with our operational needs. Develop, implement, and enforce office policies and procedures. Engage closely with Partners and Sector Heads in strategic planning and performance analysis. Establish and maintain vendor relations and negotiate service contracts. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field (Master\'s degree preferred). Significant experience as a Director of Administration, especially within a law firm. Demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, human resources protocols, and legal regulations. Strong leadership capabilities, with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using relevant detail oriented software (e.g., accounting, Microsoft Office, etc.).
