Sales Contractor, 20% Gross Monthly, Temporary Per Diem

Vacancy expired!

Currently looking for a technically proficient sales person. As this is more of a partnership with a 20% Gross monthly rate than a standard 9-5 office job, the hiring process will be competitive. I'm looking for one person to help grow the business. I'd be doing this myself, but I suck at sales and my schedule is full with service calls and client requests.

We're going to do this a little different than the average job posting. Compensation first, then requirements.

This is a 1099 contract position. As such, the bulk of my partner's pay is based on gross monthly totals of all contracts the partner generates. And it's 20%. Not 2%. That's two-zero percent of anything that gets equipment installed for as long as the contract lasts. Plus a per diem paid weekly for the first few months so you're not running around working without pay. Our client contracts are on a net 30 pay schedule. So after a contract is up and running, it'll be 30 days before the pay rolls into that weekly check.

I cover materials such as business cards, paperwork, and an uncomfortable shirt (if you want one.) As a contractor, you're responsible for your fuel, meals, etc.

Now for the requirements.

As a contractor, you have free reign to meet your goals as you see fit. If, after awhile, you're making enough off of that 20% that you want to take 6 months off, go for it. You'll be off the starter pay by that point and working as much or little as you like. Once I get above $4k/month contract, I'll be taking a long vacation myself.

You'll need a vehicle. Not much else to say about that.

This is a drug free contract. That's part of the contractor agreement. If you're high, your contract is null and void. Same thing for criminal offenses.

As this involves security equipment, I can't have a felon working with me.

Applicants need to look more professional than I do.

Work is primarily in Central Indiana. Don't make me drive to Oregon to install equipment. We're not that big. Yet.

Veterans receive preferential consideration.

This isn't a W-2 job. It's a 10-99 contract of undefined length. The effort put into the contract determines the gains. There is no hourly requirement or set way to do this, but performance determines whether the contract continues beyond the the initial agreement. Termination of contract does NOT equal termination of gross monthly on your clients until or unless that client cancels.

I'll be meeting with prospective contractors until April 15 or the right person is found. If you're interested, send a brief email. Or text. Or call during daytime hours.
