Commercial HVAC Estimator

Godby Heating Plumbing and Electrical is looking for an experienced candidate to drive business development throughout our commercial HVAC business.ÂThis opportunity provides competitive salary and great benefits package. Pay: Opportunity to earn $100K+ annually
Responsibilities:
⢠Estimating projects and major buyout of projects
⢠Review final HVAC estimates
⢠Prepare accurate HVAC Estimate take-offs of material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
⢠Calculate system sizing of ductwork, piping and plumbing as needed to provide a complete layout for
estimating purposes when the documents are not complete
⢠Coordinate with general contractors, designers and engineers on identifying changes or modifications for
estimates
⢠Build effective, profitable winning bids for upcoming projects
⢠Attend in preconstruction, pre-bid, and client meetings
⢠Meet with clients to develop and evaluate necessary data that needs to be gathered to complete project costs
⢠Communicate and coordinate with other internal departments as well as external vendors, sub-contractors,
clients, engineers, and suppliers
⢠Maintains and reviews cost analysis data for each project completed
Requirements:
⢠5+ years of Estimating field experience working on large commercial HVAC projects
⢠Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management preferred, not required
⢠Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background check
⢠Valid drivers license and insurable driving record
⢠Great communication and interpersonal skills
⢠Plan & Spec, and Design-Build project experience
⢠Familiar with State Building Codes
⢠Familiar with load calculations and duct design
⢠Strong technical skill set working with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
⢠Knowledge of estimating software is a plus
⢠Ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical plans
⢠Ability to handle several projects / priorities with competing deadlines
⢠Must have strong time management skills and consistently meet deadlines
