This Accounting Clerk position at a reputable business is for someone who can handle matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). The Accounting Clerk position is a full-time opportunity and is situated in the Jeffersonville, Indiana, area. Assist Accounts Receivable with processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and collecting past due balances
Assist with other related duties and special projects as assigned
Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes
Utilize a number of sources to create statements and reports
Post financial information to journals and ledgers
Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching & filing
Reconcile discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as needed
Requirements
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work
Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system
Outstanding data entry skills
Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Strong familiarity with Epicor Erp
Pivot Table experience preferred
