In this Staff Accountant role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. If you can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, you will succeed in this role. In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Requirements
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Proficient in ERP systems
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Deep understanding of Epicor
Epicor Erp experience
Experience with Pivot Table
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
