This position will be the main point of contact for managing emergency claims. These include Emergency Board UP (ESBUP), Emergency Tarp (ESTARP) and Water Mitigation (WTR) claims. The Mitigation Technician position will determine the scope of Mitigation repairs, perform mitigation work, and also work with other staff. Eventually, this position will take on the estimate/billing responsibilities for the claims they are handling, with the possibility of earning commission.

Roles and Responsibilities

— Handles Water/ES Claims, including required paperwork and photos

— This may include acting as Mitigation Technician or managing crew(s)

— Ensures Mitigation equipment is clean, serviced, and ready for use

— Inventories Mitigation/Cleaning chemical and responsible for stocking/ordering new

— Inventories Board-Up trailer and keep stocked; responsible for stocking/ordering new

— Rotating on-Call list One (1) Week per Month

— Provided with company vehicle & gas, smartphone, and laptop

Growth Potential

— Initially, Mitigation Technician position will only be responsible for the duties listed above

— Within six months, additional training and certification will be possible

— Growth into the Mitigation Manager Position is expected

Position Requirements Include:

— Minimum of 2 years of residential and/or commercial construction experience

— Availability to cover after hours and on call duty

— Ability to climb, kneel, and crawl required; may oversee jobs in confined spaces

— Must be able to walk on a roof

— Able to operate a computer with Microsoft office, including Word and Excel

— Working knowledge of Xactimate 28 and MICA a plus, but will train

— Must possess a valid drivers license

— Must pass a background check, physical, and drug test

Required Education:

— High School GED

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation & Benefits:

— Over-time premium for after hours and over 40 hours per week

— On-Call benefits

— Hourly with 30 day and 60 day reviews with increase

— Company shirts

— Six (6) paid holidays

— One (1) week vacation after One (1) year of service; Two (2) weeks after five (5) years of service
