We are an established, reputable courier service based out of South Bend, Indiana. We have a position available for a competent and reliable person.
The available shifts are a combination of routes, which are a guaranteed income, and "on call", which is unscheduled runs that are profitable, but not guaranteed. Driver absolutely has to be willing and available to do both.
We are currently looking to cover time on Thursday and Thursday night, Fridays, and one weekend a month.
Thursday/Friday route pay alternates between $340 for 200 miles and $440 for 285 miles. (Longer Friday route is shared between 2 drivers)
Weekend drivers are on call from Friday at 5pm to Monday morning. Weekend average +- $200 per weekend.
Our drivers are independent contractors, paid according to the deliveries that they do rather than hourly. Most deliveries are local; our range is +- 300 miles, so we do get calls to Chicago, Detriot, and Indianapolis on occasion.
Some requirements are:
- a clean and reliable car ( the better the gas mileage is, the more $$ you get to keep)
- drivers must be over the age of 25 (for insurance purposes)
- drivers must have a good driving record and vehicle insurance
- drivers should be able to do some light but repetitive lifting
