MEDICAL BILLING AND CODING - PART-TIME INSTRUCTOR - DAYS

Job Summary

Medical Insurance, Billing and Office Administration (MIBOA) Instructors use their training and practical experience in administrative, billing and coding and basic clinical duties to teach Ross students what they need to succeed in the medical field.

What are the main activities of this job?

Primary Instructors teach in the MIBOA classroom with a maximum of 20 students, covering either anatomy/physiology/medical terminology and/or administrative skills. Class sessions are either 4 or 6 hours with no weekends. Training and support provided in delivering standardized curriculum.

This is a part-time position, typically 8-24 hours per week. We are currently looking for a daytime instructor.

Medical Coding, Medical Billing, Medical Records “ Coding, Insurance Billing, Medical Accounts, CPC, CBCS, AAPC, Certified Biller/Coder, Certified Professional Coder, Medical Assistant or Nurse

Work Environment

Clean and bright classrooms with computer/desk and clinical areas, including doctors office Interact with other instructors and campus staff to assist students

Requirements

3+ years experience in the medical field and formal training from an accredited institution. Must be able to obtain a national certification. Individuals without a formal education must have a minimum of 5+ years experience in the medical field and a national certification. Additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements.

No prior teaching experience required.
