Requirements:
Bachelor's degree any field
Experience tutoring, mentoring or teaching kids
Native speaker of Enlglish residing in the U.S. or Canada.
Headset with a microphone
Quality webcam (whether built into your computer or external)
PAY:
Depending on how your first interview goes, you will be paid between $14 and $22/hour.
Hours:
You choose your schedule between the hours of 8:30pm to 9:30am EST. You can choose to work only 1 hour or 13 hours each day of the week. Classes are only 25 minutes each.
The Company:
VIPKIDprovides lesson plans based on U.S. curriculum common core standards and a face-to-face platform for you to teach English to Chinese children one-to-one. The only language you will be speaking is English. It uses the total immersion method so that children are forced to speak the language to communicate. You could start booking classes immediately upon hire or you could wait 2 months before a parent decides to book you to teach their child. If you are doing this for summer income, you should apply now so that you will likely have classes to teach by summer break.
