Job Description

• Performs data entry for COVID-19 laboratory reports received via fax into the state surveillance system, NBS
• Performs data entry for COVID-19 morbidity reports received via fax into NBS
• Processes entered laboratory and morbidity reports in NBS based on pre-determined criteria to file reports or create new case investigations
• Identifies missing or inaccurate received data and elevate to NBS Data Entry team lead as appropriate
• Maintains proper filing and tracking of all received and entered reports
• Tracks metrics of data entry and reports to NBS Data Entry Team Lead as needed
• Assists with developing policies and procedures as it relates to NBS data entry and provides feedback to the NBS Data Entry Team Lead as needed
• Assist the NBS Data Entry Team Lead with data quality assurance activities as needed.
• Serve on rotating shifts, including Saturday and Sunday;
• Serve as a backup to other data entry staff;
• Perform related duties as assigned.
