The

Source Quality Engineer – Process & Systems. This role will be located in one of the following Medical Device
(MD) locations: Somerville, NJ; Guaynabo, Puerto Rico; West Chester, PA;
Cincinnati, OH; Raynham, MA; Warsaw, IN.The

responsible for ensuring a robust supply base for the Medical Device sector of
Johnson & Johnson. The Senior Source Quality Engineer – Process &
Systems, will be responsible for the deployment of critical Source Quality
process & systems aimed at driving efficiencies & effectiveness within
our systems and processes used to manage the supply base. This position also
may engage with the associated external suppliers of direct and indirect
materials, finished goods and services, as needed.You will use your talents to lead
teams (Source Quality Engineers and others) to redesign processes that are
critical to enabling supplier controls. You will work cross-functionally to
collaborate our business partners across NPD, Supply Chain and Quality. In this
role, you will play an important role identifying those processes and enabling
the systems as well as, working in a team environment, drive toward fit for
purpose solutions. You will use your background to ensure both a technical
solution but also one that harmonizes & standardizes where appropriate. You
will apply appropriate Quality Engineering methodologies, statistical
techniques, process capability analyses/improvements, process optimization, and
other technical or Process Excellence tools in support of these changes -
across supplier selection, type & extent of controls, ASL, Supplier Change
Control, Supplier Quality Agreements, Component Qualification among others.
Collectively, as a system, these processes will ensure that we reduce risk,
ensure lean processes and enable the business to work end to end with our
suppliers while ensuring Quality, Compliance, and Business requirements.Your
Responsibilities:
Drive and manage Purchasing Controls related processes
across the MD sector Source Quality function globally.
Lead, develop, and implement systems (IT/workflow management)
to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all MD sector Business
Unit/Franchise Quality Systems
Monitor metrics to ensure improvements are lasting and
meet desired objectives.
Collaborate with key business partners and the applicable
functional groups to ensure fit for purpose processes and systems work for
all stakeholders.
Own, drive, and lead the assigned Source Quality
related projects, activities, initiatives with limited supervision.
Utilize Project Management methodologies to plan,
organize, connect, craft, lead, and deliver results for assigned projects.
Influence changing regulatory and business needs,
including external standards.
This position may require up to 35%
domestic and international travel.Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other equivalent technical discipline is required. Professional experience in a regulated industry is required with medical device experience preferred. Five or more years related work experience in any quality function or equivalent technical field is required. Project management experience is required.
